Pastor Mondo Mugisha left Uganda early this year after he was accused of obtaining money by false pretence.

In an interview with Diaspora Ug Connect, he explained he left Uganda because his life was in danger. He claimed the mafia in the government wanted to finish him.

"I had to run away to save my life. The mafia cartel was going to finish me. I had to leave," he narrated.

Mondo added that he is now happy. He doesn't have to look over his shoulders as it was while in Uganda.

"I used Entebbe Airport to South Africa. I inboxed most of my friends including Balaam about my whereabouts," he said.

He said he hopes to return to Uganda one day.
