Musician Edirisa Musuza, also known as Eddy Kenzo, has decried the unfair treatment received by Ugandan artistes from the organizers of the coffee marathon.
The President of UNMF explained that he was personally disrespected by the event organizers, and the same applied to other Ugandan artistes.
He explained that despite Diamond Platnumz being a visitor and a great artiste, there was no need for unfair treatment of local artistes. He expressed disappointment in the organizers, revealing that local artistes were only given fuel, and yet they hired a private jet for a foreign artiste.
"I understand Diamond Platnumz is a great artiste, but there was no need for unfair treatment. Diamond doesn't have a plane, but they hired one for him and simply gave us car fuel. What's the meaning of that? The organizers belittled our industry," he explained.
Eddy Kenzo's comments come at a time when local artistes continue to lament over the 750 million Uganda shillings given to Diamond Platnumz for a performance at the coffee marathon in Ntungamo district.
