Musician Edirisa Musuuza has confirmed he will not be participating in the open debate he proposed with Azawi.

Speaking in an interview with NBS Television, he confirmed backing out of the debate without revealing a strong reason for doing so.

The singer explained he is not out to challenge Azawi; he only wanted to clarify a few achievements of the federation and nothing more.

Kenzo says he is very happy for Azawi. He likes her music journey and loves her as an artist.

"I am no longer interested in the debate, and I’m not here to challenge Azawi. I love her, and I’m genuinely happy for her. I just wanted to clarify what the federation has done," he partly explained.

In late May, Eddy Kenzo appeared in the media and asked for a public debate with Azawi over various matters related to politics and music in the country.

Azawi, over the weekend, responded and accepted the challenge. She, however, asked for the debate to take place in one of the ghettos in Kampala.

It's a pity that such an interesting discussion will not be taking place, as Kenzo has chosen to back out.
