Bobi Wine's elder son, Solomon Kampala, has categorically stated that he has no connection to the NRM government.

In a lengthy post on his social media, Solomon Kampala publicly disassociated himself from the ruling government and urged NRM supporters to unfollow him on various platforms and to remove him as their follower.

Solomon explained that he will never agree with anyone who supports the ruling government, saying that he could only reach an understanding if President Museveni resigns from leadership.

He stated that the NRM government has caused a great deal of suffering to the people of Uganda, revealing that he personally has sleepless nights because of the hardships Ugandans are enduring.

Kampala, however, offered hope to Ugandans, revealing that they will be free in the near future.

"If you are NRM, or joyfully affiliated with NRM, unfollow and remove me as a follower. We are not one. We do not agree, and we will never ever agree. Unless a peaceful resignation of power or agreement is passed. The people of Uganda have suffered too much. I have sleepless nights crying for my people. But one day we will be free," he wrote.

Solomon Kampala Kyagulanyi is the firstborn child of the National Unity Platform (NUP) President, Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine. He currently lives in Texas, USA, where he is pursuing his university education.

For most of his father's political career, he has shied away from making political comments, and this appears to be his first public statement.
