The rising star, Ring Rapper, is facing a classic tale of success and betrayal. After six years of a partnership that felt more like a father-son bond than a business deal, he has split with his longtime manager, Ibra Buwembo.
The two had worked together since Ring Rapper was a young talent, with Buwembo mentoring him and introducing him to the industry. But now, they are locked in a bitter dispute, with Buwembo allegedly taking control of the rapper's social media accounts.
In a crushing blow, all of the duo's music was deleted from the internet. "He has been my father, and I expected him to be one of the people who wished me well," Ring Rapper shared in an emotional interview. "But he deleted all my music, and when it gets to that point, I knew he would never give me back my logins."
This painful split has forced the rapper to completely reinvent himself. To make it easier for fans to find him, he's dropped his old stage name, "Ratata," and is now performing as Ring Rapper Official. He's urged his fans to follow his new accounts and has had to clarify that not all accounts with the old name are him.
