Earlier this year, musician Alien Skin was unveiled by Mathias Mpuuga’s Democratic Front Party as their mobilizer for the 2026 elections. They even signed a memorandum of understanding and gave him a political stage, banking on his massive youth following in Buganda.
He has, however, made a U-turn in his political journey. The singer officially declared he is a member of the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
He publicly made the announcement as he performed at President Yoweri Museveni's nomination rally, which took place at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds in Kampala.
He made the bold announcement, sending cheers through the thousands of NRM supporters who had gathered to celebrate the President's nomination.
“I am tired of hiding. I belong to the NRM. I made the decision to join and I am a member,” he explained.
The Fangone Forest boss also urged youths to work and better themselves instead of prioritizing politicians.
He says the President has created a favorable environment for different youths to work, earn money, and better themselves.
