Legendary singer Joseph Mayanja, popularly known as Chameleone, has revealed that despite openly supporting President Yoweri Museveni in the ongoing campaign season, he would have no problem performing at Bobi Wine’s rallies if invited.

Speaking in an interview with a local YouTuber, Chameleone said that while his political allegiance lies with President Museveni, his friendship with Bobi Wine remains intact — and music, he emphasized, should unite rather than divide.

“I can go and perform at Bobi Wine’s rallies if he invites me because he is my friend. I can do it freely, anywhere across the country,” Chameleone said.

He further clarified that performing for Bobi Wine wouldn’t mean switching political sides but rather showing goodwill and respect to a fellow artist and friend.

“Performing at his rallies doesn’t stop me from supporting President Museveni. I actually wish him well in his endeavors,” he added.

Chameleone’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions online, with some praising his maturity and professionalism, while others question whether his comments reflect political neutrality or strategic diplomacy.
