Television personality Florence Nampijja has ended her decade-long journey with BBS Terefayina, a station owned by the Buganda Kingdom.
The news of her resignation broke on Thursday after gossip monger Kasuku shared a screenshot from a WhatsApp group showing Nampijja’s farewell message to her colleagues.
“Hi team,
I’m writing to let you know that my time at BBS has come to an end.
Spending nearly 10 fantastic years here has been an invaluable experience, and I deeply appreciate the time I’ve spent working with each of you. Thank you for making my time here so memorable.
I wish you all the very best!
— Florence Nampijja”
While Nampijja didn’t publicly disclose the reason behind her departure, sources indicate that she requested a salary increment, which management allegedly declined — leading to her decision to resign.
The celebrated presenter is now exploring new opportunities in media and film as she continues her creative journey.
Social media users have since praised Nampijja for her loyalty and dedication to serving Buganda Kingdom and Uganda through her years at BBS Terefayina.
