Musician Cinderella Sanyu (Cindy) is among the few top artistes who have completely stayed off the ongoing presidential campaign trail.

While many entertainers have openly taken sides, Cindy says neutrality is the best choice for her brand.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, the UMA president revealed she has taken nearly 20 years to build her name and does not wish to divide the fans who have supported her throughout her career.

According to Cindy, politics naturally creates division, and openly endorsing any candidate would automatically alienate a significant section of her fanbase.

“I have fans on both sides. My brand means more than money. I don’t want to separate among them and that’s why I don’t engage in campaigns. Politics brings division, and endorsing anyone would break through my fans who have supported me for so long.” she explained.

Cindy joins artistes like Sheebah, Winnie Nwagi, and Azawi, who have also chosen to stay away from politics.

Meanwhile, entertainers like Bebe Cool, Eddy Kenzo, and Jose Chameleone continue to rally behind the yellow brigade, while King Saha, Pallaso, and Fik Fameica stand firmly with the red camp.
