Singer Lydia Jazmine has opened up about her past struggles with depression, shedding light on the personal challenges she faced behind the scenes.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Jazmine revealed that her mental health struggles were not linked to substance abuse, as is often assumed, but rather to management and family issues.
“The first time when I experienced depression was when I parted ways with my manager; that transition was very difficult. Another time was when I had issues within my family,” she explained.
The singer described the periods as extremely tough, noting that the situations took a serious toll on her emotional well-being as she tried to stay strong.
Her revelation highlights the often unseen pressures artists face in the industry, beyond the spotlight and fame.
