Viral content creator Rango Tenge Tenge has officially signed with Black Market Records, marking a new chapter in his career as the label looks to turn his viral popularity into a bigger entertainment brand.
According to reports, the deal was finalised after about two and a half years of discussions, with 12 official meetings reportedly held between Rango's parents and the people managing his career.
Rango officially began working with Black Market Records on August 7, 2026.
The deal is reportedly worth more than Shs50 million, although the exact terms and financial breakdown have not been publicly disclosed.
It is alleged that the money was shared between Rango, his father and his former manager, Michael Kabenge. However, details on how much each party received remain unclear.
Other key terms of the agreement have also not been made public. The contract announcement shared on Black Market Africa's social media platforms does not indicate how long the partnership will last or provide an expiry date.
The signing is expected to give Rango access to a more structured entertainment setup as he seeks to build on the massive online popularity that made him one of Uganda's most recognisable young content creators.
