NRG Radio Uganda presenter Evelyn Mic, real name Evelyn Masika, has hit back at media personality Sheilah Gashumba following comments in which Sheilah reportedly threatened to have her fired.
The latest exchange stems from a viral interview in which Sheilah accused Evelyn of attempting to interfere in her relationship with boyfriend Alex Bidandi after the radio presenter claimed that the couple had broken up.
Evelyn, who is currently mourning the death of her sister, said she initially had no idea that the dispute was trending because she had stayed away from social media.
She explained that friends and people close to her kept calling and sending her messages before she eventually learned about the controversy.
Despite Sheilah's criticism, Evelyn said she has no regrets about her earlier comments and continues to stand by her claim that the couple had separated.
“I stand by what I said that they split up, and because of me, they are trying to patch up their relationship because I talked about it.”
The radio presenter also maintained her earlier claims about Sheilah's alleged past relationships, insisting that she has evidence to support what she said.
“I am 100% sure that they dated.”
Evelyn further accused Sheilah of acting unprofessionally by recording and sharing a private phone conversation between them without her knowledge.
“I didn’t even know she was recording. That shows some level of unprofessionalism as well…I don’t feel bad about what Sheilah said because I know the truth.”
She also claimed that screenshots allegedly shared by Alex showed that the couple had been experiencing relationship problems.
According to Evelyn, Alex had shown people messages allegedly sent by Sheilah asking him to take her back.
She further told Sheilah to stop being a bully.
The latest remarks are likely to keep the dispute between the two media personalities alive, with both sides maintaining their positions over what happened between Sheilah and Alex.
