Media personality Doreen Nasasira has dismissed pressure to get married, saying she has no reason to rush into marriage or settle for a relationship simply because of public expectations.
Speaking during a discussion on a local YouTube channel, Nasasira brushed aside comments about her age and suggestions that she should be concerned about finding a partner.
She said she is comfortable with herself and no longer depends on other people for validation.
“I wake up every morning, look at myself in the mirror, and tell myself I am beautiful. I don’t need anyone’s validation,” she said in part.
Nasasira added that she keeps herself entertained and is content living life on her own terms, allowing her to focus on her personal goals rather than public opinions about her relationship status.
When asked how she manages her sexual needs while single, Nasasira suggested that she can go for long periods without addressing them, but said the wait makes the experience worthwhile.
“I might take a long time to service them, but when I do service them, it is really worth it,” she said.
Nasasira has attracted attention on social media for her outspoken views on marriage, relationships and modern dating.
