New details have emerged surrounding the death of Afrigo Band leader Moses Matovu, who died on Thursday morning, September 24, 2026, after being rushed to Kibuli Hospital.
Initial reports linked Matovu’s death to an alleged attack by Kifeesi, but an eyewitness who spoke to NTV has given a different account of what happened.
According to the eyewitness, Matovu had parked his vehicle by the roadside in Kibuli and was escorting a female acquaintance to her rental when he was confronted by a man reportedly believed to be her boyfriend.
A scuffle allegedly followed, during which Matovu was punched and fell to the ground, sustaining injuries and bleeding heavily before he was rushed for medical attention.
The eyewitness further claimed that the confrontation between Matovu and the man was not their first.
