Pastor Wilson Bugembe has praised fellow preacher Pastor Aloysius Bugingo, describing him as a kind, generous and prayerful person despite their complicated past.

The two pastors have in recent years been seen working together on different projects, with Bugembe saying he has chosen not to take Bugingo’s past public criticism of fellow pastors personally.

Bugembe revealed that Bugingo has supported him on several occasions and continues to offer assistance to his ministry.

“It’s a good relationship I have with Pastor Bugingo; he has helped me do so many things. We don’t own a TV, but he gives us free adverts on his TV,” Bugembe said.

Reflecting on the period when Bugingo was known for publicly criticising fellow pastors, Bugembe said he never viewed the remarks as a personal attack against him.

“There is a season when he used to attack us fellow pastors, not just me, pretty much every pastor, but I don’t think it was personal,” he said.

Bugembe added that getting to know Bugingo away from the public spotlight gave him a different perspective about the controversial pastor.

“I have had the chance to understand him as a person offstage, and he is a very good man. He is generous, kind, faithful, prayerful, knows the Bible, and loves people. I relate with most people offstage, not on stage,” he added.
