Singer Laika Music has opened up about some of the difficult experiences she has faced in the music industry, revealing how a fellow musician’s failure to show up for a video shoot affected her mental health.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Laika said she had invited a male artiste to appear in one of her music videos as a vixen. The two reportedly agreed on the details, and the musician confirmed that he would attend.

Laika said she even contacted the artiste a day before the shoot to confirm his availability, but he failed to show up on the scheduled day.

“There’s an artiste; I won’t mention the name, and he knows himself. I asked him to be a video vixen in my video shoot. We agreed on everything, and I tried to make sure he was good.

“I asked what he wanted, and even the day before the shoot, I asked him whether he would be present. He replied using the words ‘of course’, but on the day of the video shoot, he didn’t show up,” she narrated.

Laika said the disappointment sent her into depression, leaving her questioning why the musician had let her down after making assurances.

She added that the situation became even more painful when the artiste allegedly failed to reach out or explain his absence after missing the shoot.
