Mubiru was in July this year ordered by the Kampala Civil Court assistant registrar Emmanuel Baguma to pay sh1.5m every week to clear his sh13.9m debt after he lost a civil matter to a one George Afaayo.

Mubiru was arrested at Buganda Road Court premises where he had gone to answer charges of defrauding over sh45m from city businessman Ronald Donzale for a piece of land located in Lubowa, Wakiso district.

He was arrested by court bailiff from Ismail Magumba and whisked to Kampala high court assistant civil registrar where he (Mubiru) managed to raise sh3m and was later released on condition that, he would pay sh1.5m weekly instalments without failure until the debt is cleared.

However, according to Afaayo, Mubiru has since not deposited any money as per the  court order and has never reported to court to explain his failure to pay the money.

Afaayo has petitioned Kampala civil court Assistant registrar for the second time seeking the court to order its bailiffs to produce him to court before the end of month of September this year.

Efforts to get a comment from Mubiru proved futile as his known number was off.

Mubiru is also still battling charges of fraud at Buganda Road Court and his case was adjourned by the Buganda Road Chief Magistrate to August 30 for hearing.

This was after his lawyer Luyimbaazi Nalukoola informed court that he (Mubiru) was admitted in a city hospital which he did not mention.

It is alleged that between October and November 2014, in Kampala Mubiru obtained sh45m from Ronald Danzale pretending that he was selling a piece of land to him.
