Contemporary dancehall artiste Ragga Dee alias Daniel Kyeyune Kazibwe has won National Resistance Movement (NRM) nomination party primaries for the Kampala mayoral seat.

The singer defeated NRM big man Capt. Francis Babu, who was also nominated to contest for the Kampala City mayoral seat. This is the second time in the row that Babu is losing after losing 2011 to Peter Ssematimba before contesting as an independent candidate.

Meanwhile, Ragga Dee will now tussle it out with any member of other parties who wishes to compete for the mayoral elections.

Ragga Dee, who doubles as a businessman, has promised to promote Ugandan music by allowing musicians to pin their posters all over the city ahead of their shows and allow artists perform past midnight which Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) had banned.

Congratulations Ragga Dee

NB: Official anouncement is yet to be made by the NRM Electoral Commission.
