The Police in Entebbe are holding a stepfather and another suspect in connection to the murder of a 3-year-old boy in Katabi Town Council.

The deceased, Simon Onyait, a resident of Nalugala Mawugulu Zone, was found abandoned in an incomplete building with knife stabs to his body.

Police have arrested the boy's stepfather, Francis Onyango, and another resident identified as Kasawuli who occupies the unfinished building.

Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Area Deputy Spokesperson says Onyango was left home alone with the deceased by the mother, Anna Kevin Akello.

Akello told police that she failed to find the minor when she returned from work at 6:00 pm on Wednesday.

Owoyesigyire says Akello inquired from her husband on the whereabouts of her son but he failed to give a clear response. She immediately started looking for the son with the help of the neighbors and locals until he was discovered in Kasawuli's place at 7:00 pm.

He says the lifeless body of the 3-year-old had two stab wounds and Kasawuli's clothes were recovered with blood stains.

Owoyesigyire says police have since arrested two suspects to aid the police in investigations.

On Tuesday, another resident of Katabi Town Council, Fred Golooba, was killed by unknown people.
