THE 88th Academy Awards was the biggest yet with Leonardo DiCaprio picking up his first ever Oscar trophy.

Tom McCarthy's real-life drama Spotlight took the highly anticipated award for Best Picture, while Mad Max: Fury Road won big picking up 6 trophies.

With performances from Sam Smith and Lady Gaga, the 2016 Oscars didn't fail to impress viewers.
