Lately, social media and alternative media have indicated that there is a lot of misery for Ugandans working abroad as they are tortured and subjugated by their employers.
However, the other side of the paper that has not been told; there are many people that have benefited from working abroad and Middle East Consultant has been the saviour of the hopeless.
Well today, Middle East Consultants LTD carried out interviews for Drivers who will be working in the United Arab Emirates (especially Dubai).
Hundreds of youth drawn mainly from the Kampala metropolitan showed up for the driving interview, practical and written; at their testing grounds and offices in Muyenga respectively.
The participants were taken through counseling sessions by both company representative and officials from Dubai who gave assurance to the participants that they were to do legit work unlike other so called “professional recruiting firms”.
“Those things happen if someone is taken by un recognized companies. Middle East Consultants follows the law and is registered under the ministry of labor,” Middle East Consultants’ Managing Director Gordon Mugyenyi said
More so, MEC Recruitment and vetting officer, Kyalimpa noted that MEC was to send about 120 drivers from the 300 that applied.
“We can’t take all of you. You are there to do the interviews, only successful candidates will be taken to Dubai, where each will be earning approximately 2 million per month”
