Musician Bruno K has voiced his dissatisfaction with the lack of unity and support for one another in the music business.
Through his social media, Bruno noted that there is a lot of hate, hypocrisy, and jealousy in the industry he operates.
He said it will be hard for our music industry to match that of Nigeria if things stay the same.
“First of all the unity in Nigerian industry is unmatched. You see how they pull each other and how they support each other. They post each other’s work without fear of this guy will take my fans. Here, it’s very rare seeing a musician posting the other’s work.
I tried posting people’s songs and their work but these same people never returned the favor and it looked like I was over reaching,” he wrote.
“You will do a collaboration with someone, and that person will leave the project for you to push yet in the making of the song, you promise each other to push it together. When the song becomes a hit, it is when he or she starts posting the song. Some Ugandan artists would rather post Rihana and Beyonce than post their own fellow Ugandans,” he added.
No artiste has responded to his frustrations so far. We will keep you updated.
