Rapper Gravity Omutujju is facing arrest after he allegedly assaulted his personal DJ with a microphone over the weekend.

The incident took place at a spot in Nakalama, Iganga district, when the two men failed to reach an agreement on which song to play first. The disagreement escalated into a scuffle, during which Omutujju struck the DJ with the microphone.

A video of the incident has since gone viral, and the Uganda Police have confirmed that they are investigating the matter. "We have received a complaint of assault, and we are currently investigating the matter," said police spokesperson Fred Enanga. "Once the investigations are complete, we will take the necessary action."

Omutujju has since apologized for the incident, saying that he "lost his cool" in the heat of the moment. "I am sorry for what I did," he said in a statement. "I should not have reacted that way."

The DJ, who has not been named, has not commented on the incident.

This is not the first time that Omutujju has been involved in an altercation with a DJ. In 2019, he was accused of assaulting DJ Ciza after the DJ refused to play his music. Omutujju was never charged in that case.

It remains to be seen whether Omutujju will be arrested and charged in this case.
