Musician Eddy Kenzo is the President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), the largest musicians' federation in the country, and his opinion always matters.

The presidential advisor has advised musicians to perform where they are paid during this campaign season.

He explained that music is a business, and a musician can only benefit from it when they are paid for their performance.

"Music is a business, but like all businesses, there are challenges. However, I think musicians should perform where they are paid because it's the only way to benefit from their work at the moment," he explained.

The presidential advisor, however, says that he will personally perform at the functions of the ruling party because he is affiliated with it.

Kenzo says he would love to perform for some of his friends in the opposition but cannot do so at the moment. He believes people no longer reason with intellect but with emotions.

"I will perform at NRM rallies because that's where I feel comfortable at the moment. I would love to perform for some opposition candidates, but it's hard because people no longer reason with intellect but with emotions. So, it's really hard," he added.

The presidential advisor on creatives maintains that he will support President Museveni for the highest office as a reward for his support for artists and the entire creative industry.
