Award-winning media personality Mr. Henrie (real name Arinaitwe Henry) has officially joined NRG Radio 106.5 FM Uganda, in what the station calls a major step toward shaping youth culture and modern entertainment across Africa.

Known for his depth, authenticity, and unmatched connection with audiences, Mr. Henrie’s move marks a new chapter in his career — one that aligns perfectly with NRG’s fresh, bold, and youthful energy.

“This for me is about growth,” said Mr. Henrie. “I’ve reached a point where I needed a space that matches my ambitions — a brand that challenges me to think bigger and connect wider. NRG Radio provides that platform. It’s bold, fresh, and aligns perfectly with the direction I’m growing into.”

NRG’s Strategy Lead, Julius Kyazze, noted that Mr. Henrie’s arrival fits within the station’s broader mission of redefining African mainstream entertainment and driving youth culture forward.

“We’re witnessing an African takeover — from sound to storytelling. What young people are creating, the world is consuming,” Kyazze said. “NRG’s voice and energy are defining what modern African entertainment, fashion, and lifestyle look like. Bringing in talent like Mr. Henrie strengthens our mission to move the culture forward.”

In the same strategic move, NRG also announced the addition of Timothy Jjumba Omar, popularly known as Timo Pon D’Chat, one of Uganda’s most respected audio producers and radio imaging experts.

“We’re about to change the sound of radio,” Timo said. “Joining a brand with a global outlook like NRG is truly exciting. I’m ready to bring new sound, new energy, and real magic to the airwaves.”

Kyazze added that the duo represents the next generation of African media talent, saying, “Henrie brings voice, influence, and depth, while Timo brings creativity and innovation. Together, they’ll shape the future of African entertainment.”
