Musician Eddy Kenzo has come out to clarify his working relationship with Bebe Cool on President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s campaign trail.
The two have reportedly been at loggerheads over control and coordination of artistes during the President’s nationwide rallies — with sources citing financial misunderstandings between the camps.
Speaking to the media, Kenzo revealed that he no longer works under Bebe Cool, insisting he operates independently and reports directly to the President in his official capacity as the Presidential Advisor on Creatives and leader of musicians in Uganda.
“Personally, I am the leader of musicians in Uganda and also advise the President on creatives. It’s my responsibility to ensure everything concerning musicians is running well. I am not under Bebe Cool — there was some confusion — I now work directly with the President,” Kenzo explained.
Kenzo emphasized that his mandate includes coordinating artists, promoting unity among creatives, and mobilizing support for President Museveni across the country.
Tensions between the two stars have persisted for months, with insiders describing their relationship as “cold but professional” as both continue to champion the President’s re-election efforts.
