Newlywed singer Irene Ntale has set social media ablaze after openly sharing her strong views on financial responsibilities within marriage.
Ntale argued that in a healthy and well-structured relationship, the man should cover all major household needs and never burden the woman with big bills.
Speaking confidently, Ntale said a responsible man is expected to handle critical expenditures such as school fees, rent, car fuel, and significant home costs, explaining that this defines leadership and ensures harmony at home.
“A man should take care of the home completely. In a proper family, the man sorts the big responsibilities — school fees, rent, fuel — all those major bills,” she emphasized.
While championing male financial responsibility, she cautioned women against abusing the arrangement.
She encouraged women to support the home through small gestures and avoid unnecessary entitlement.
“Women shouldn’t be too petty. At the end of the day, the home is theirs too. You shouldn’t wait for a man to come back and pay Yaka just because you refuse to pay anything. Those small things you can clear, but the big bills the man should sort,” Ntale explained.
Ntale further reasoned that when women attempt to take on everything financially, some men may misuse the situation.
“If you show a man that you can do everything, you’re leaving him with a lot of disposable income to spend on other women,” she added.
