Singer Tracy Melon has expressed immense pride in her Busoga heritage, saying she openly embraces her culture and will never shy away from it. Speaking in an interview with a local YouTuber, Melon shared that Busoga is her identity, and she proudly represents it wherever she goes.

She praised the Busoga Kingdom leadership under the Kyabazinga, commending his development efforts and programs that continue to uplift the region.

“I am very proud of my tribe. I can never hide about it and I really appreciate that fact. I am always proud to speak about it because it’s who I am. I really love the Kyabazinga for the programs he has set up in the kingdom,” she said.

Despite being a Musoga, Tracy Melon revealed that she often sings in Luganda for business reasons, explaining that Buganda remains the biggest hub for Uganda’s music industry.

She believes that performing in Luganda opens more opportunities and a larger listening audience compared to other regions.
