For months, rumours have circulated claiming singer Cindy Sanyu and her husband Prynce Okuyo Atiku were not on good terms, with some allegations even suggesting frequent physical fights. Cindy has now come out to firmly dismiss all the speculation.
The dancehall star clarified that she and her husband are living peacefully and happily as a family, adding that the rumours were created by critics who simply want to tarnish her name.
Cindy acknowledged that, like any other marriage, theirs also faces highs and lows, but the couple continues to thrive and support each other.
“Those are just rumours and they don’t take my mind. We are okay and running the family well. We are on good terms and everything is really fine at home. However, you know marriage has its lows and downs,” she explained.
Cindy Sanyu married actor Prince Okuyo Atiku on December 11, 2021, at St. Stephen’s Church–Kisugu, followed by a private reception with close family and friends. The couple also held their traditional introduction ceremony earlier in May 2021 at Cindy’s ancestral home in Eastern Uganda.
Cindy and Okuyo share two children and are looking forward to expanding their family.
