Former beauty queen Hannah Karema has declared confidence in securing a landslide victory as she contests for Guild President at Makerere University.

Karema, who is running as an independent candidate, is facing stiff competition from candidates backed by major political parties including the National Unity Platform and the National Resistance Movement.

Despite the competition, she remains optimistic about her chances in the upcoming polls.

“The battle just started but we are moving strategically. The signs and everything point to my victory. It will be a landslide win next month when polls eventually take place,” she said.

Karema, widely known for her humanitarian work and influence as a former Miss Uganda, believes her connection with students and her vision for leadership will give her an edge in the race.

The Makerere Guild elections are expected to take place next month, with campaigns already gaining momentum across campus.
