Singer King Saha has distanced himself from plans to stage a concert on December 4, 2026, despite Jose Chameleone’s recent decision to relinquish his booking for Lugogo Cricket Oval on that date.

Earlier, Chameleone, born Joseph Mayanja, announced that he had voluntarily released the venue booking for his planned Chameleone Unlimited concert. In a letter issued through Leone Island Music Empire and addressed to Kings Love Entertainment, a company associated with King Saha, the veteran singer said the move was made in the interest of promoting harmony within Uganda’s entertainment industry.

Chameleone also reportedly authorized the management of Lugogo Cricket Oval to transfer the booking to King Saha’s camp, a gesture that many interpreted as an attempt to avoid a potential clash between two of the country's biggest music stars.

However, King Saha has clarified that he neither requested the date nor intends to hold a concert on December 4.

In a statement titled "Clarification Regarding 4th December 2026 Event Dates," the singer emphasized that he has no plans to organize an event on the same day.

“For the avoidance of doubt, I wish to state that I have no intention whatsoever of organising or holding a concert on the same date, 4th December 2026, in competition with or alongside Jose Chameleone’s event,” Saha stated.

He added that he remains respectful of fellow artists, promoters, and other stakeholders in the entertainment industry, noting that any future concert plans from his camp will be organized independently and in a manner that promotes unity rather than rivalry.

The clarification effectively rules out speculation that King Saha was preparing to take over the date vacated by Chameleone.

The latest development once again highlights the complex relationship between the two artists, whose careers have been marked by mentorship, mutual respect, competition, and occasional public disagreements.

For now, there are no confirmed plans for a King Saha concert on December 4, 2026, and it remains unclear whether Chameleone will announce a new date for Chameleone Unlimited or if another event organizer will eventually secure the Lugogo Cricket Oval booking.
