Musician Grenade Official has claimed that he is a biological son of the late Kadongo Kamu legend Paul Kafeero and is seeking a DNA test to prove the relationship.

The singer made the revelation amid the ongoing paternity dispute surrounding Kafeero's estate, which has seen several individuals come forward claiming to be children of the late musician.

According to Grenade, he wants to undergo DNA testing to establish whether he is biologically related to Kafeero.

“I am Grenade Kafeero and he is my father. I am seeking DNA testing to prove my claims because he fathered me many years ago,” he said.

Grenade, who is currently based in the United Kingdom, explained that he is exploring ways of accessing Kafeero's DNA samples so that the necessary tests can be conducted.

His remarks come at a time when forensic investigations into Kafeero's paternity claims are ongoing, following the recent court-authorized exhumation of the legendary singer's remains for DNA sampling.

The DNA process is expected to help resolve long-standing disputes involving individuals seeking legal recognition as Kafeero's children.

Grenade left Uganda last year and relocated to the United Kingdom, where he has been pursuing new opportunities while continuing his music career.

It remains unclear whether he will formally join the ongoing paternity proceedings or pursue an independent DNA testing process.
