Singer Irene Namatovu has imported official tickets for her "Strong Woman" concert, scheduled for August 21, 2026, in a bid to curb ticket forgery.
Events promoter Bajjo Events said the decision was made to protect fans from fraudsters who produce counterfeit concert tickets. He urged concertgoers to purchase tickets only through authorized sales channels to avoid being scammed.
Speaking during an interview with the media, Bajjo explained that the tickets were printed outside Uganda to make them more difficult to counterfeit.
"I have just received the first consignment of concert tickets for Irene Namatovu's upcoming concert. We chose to print them outside the country to combat ticket forgery. Be warned and purchase tickets only from authorized channels to avoid being scammed," Bajjo explained.
He further noted that many music fans have previously lost money after buying fake tickets allegedly produced by fraudsters operating on Nasser Road.
Irene Namatovu's "Strong Woman" concert will take place on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Kampala Serena Hotel.
