Events promoter Abbey Musinguzi, popularly known as Abitex, has claimed that Bobi Wine stopped singer Dax Vibez from performing at Vinka’s concert after the artiste faced criticism for showing up at her sound check.
Dax Vibes had reportedly rehearsed with Vinka ahead of her concert, raising expectations that he would eventually appear on stage alongside the singer.
However, he did not perform, leaving some of Vinka’s fans questioning his absence.
Speaking about the development, Abitex claimed Dax Vibes consulted Bobi Wine after receiving criticism over his involvement in the concert preparations.
“Dax Vibes grew up from Bobi Wine's hands. He consulted him before deciding on what to do after he received criticism for showing up at Vinka's sound check. Bobi Wine stopped him from going to perform,” he partly said.
Dax Vibez Faces Backlash
Dax Vibes has since come under criticism from some of Vinka's fans, who expected him to show up for the concert after participating in preparations.
The backlash has been amplified by the history between the two artistes, with Vinka having played a significant role in Dax Vibes' breakthrough through their collaboration “Believe.”
While Abitex's claims have added a new twist to Dax Vibes' absence, neither Bobi Wine nor Dax Vibez has publicly confirmed that the decision was made following consultations between the two.
