Musician Dianah Nalubega has opened up about the kind of expectations she would not accept in marriage, warning men not to approach her expecting her to “build” them through constant advice and guidance.
Speaking during an interview with a local YouTuber, the Kisumuluzo singer explained that her focus has always been on acquiring the knowledge and skills needed to support herself and her daughter.
“The only knowledge I have is to support myself and my daughter,” she partly said.
‘Don’t Expect Me to Build You’
Nalubega explained that some men enter relationships expecting their partners to provide guidance, advice and emotional or intellectual support as they pursue their personal goals.
However, she believes such expectations could create disappointment for anyone hoping to marry her.
According to the singer, she is more focused on building her own life and providing for her daughter than taking responsibility for directing a man's future.
