Media personality Stella Nante has announced her departure from NTV, bringing her two-year stint as host of the popular morning show Mwasuze Mutya to an end.

Nante revealed that she made the decision after carefully reflecting on the direction she wants her career to take and the opportunities she hopes to pursue next.

In a heartfelt letter shared on her X platform, Nante expressed gratitude to Nation Media Group, NTV and Spark TV for the trust, exposure and opportunities they gave her throughout her time with the media house.

“I am deeply grateful to Nation Media Group, and to both NTV and Spark TV, for the opportunity, trust, exposure and platform they gave me,” she wrote.

She also thanked the viewers who welcomed her into their homes every morning, as well as the guests, sponsors, partners and production team she worked with during her television journey.

Nante emphasised that the success of a television programme is a collective effort involving many people behind the scenes.

According to Nante, the decision to leave was made about two months ago after careful consideration. She said she now wants to focus fully on new career trajectories.

“Today, I close one chapter of my career with gratitude, pride and no regrets. Here is my note on the end of my journey with Mwasuze Mutya and Nation Media Group. And, as always, there is more ahead,” she wrote.

Although she did not reveal details about her next move, Nante hinted that she has exciting opportunities ahead and is looking forward to the next chapter of her career.
