R&B singer Maro, real name Ronald Magada, has opened up about the challenges of balancing his music career in Uganda with family life and other investments in Zambia.
Maro, who is known for his meaningful lyrics and songwriting, has recently reduced his music releases as he focuses on several business ventures alongside his career.
The singer explained that dividing his time between Uganda and Zambia has sometimes made it difficult to give music his full attention.
“I have different ventures that I'm investing my money in. I have to divide myself and balance my life here and in Zambia. It has been difficult for me to concentrate sometimes, but as long as we have life, music will always come,” he partly said.
Despite taking a step back from releasing music, Maro insists that his songwriting has remained active.
The R&B Kyabazinga revealed that he continues to write songs for himself and other artistes, with new projects expected to be released soon.
“My pen game is still solid and everyone should hear it. I can never stop writing. Even now, I have written for some people and also written my own songs that I'm set to release during this period,” he added.
Maro and his wife previously relocated to Germany before eventually settling in Zambia, while the singer continues to make regular trips back to Uganda to maintain his connection with the local music industry.
For Maro, the slower release schedule does not signal an end to his music career, but rather an attempt to balance his artistic work with family responsibilities and other ventures.
