Comedian Patrick Salvador has praised fellow comedian Alex Muhangi for keeping Comedy Store running for the past 10 years despite the challenges surrounding the event.

Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Salvador credited Muhangi for his persistence and contribution to Uganda’s comedy industry, saying several people have benefited financially from the platform he built.

“So many people have become rich because of Alex Muhangi. I give him credit for pushing forward for the comedy industry in Uganda. He has gone through different challenges to make it count until today,” Salvador said.

Salvador’s comments come as Comedy Store prepares to celebrate its 10th anniversary on October 30 at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

The milestone event is expected to bring together comedians and entertainers who have been part of the platform’s decade-long journey.

The upcoming celebration has also attracted speculation about Comedy Store’s future, with some critics suggesting that the anniversary event could mark its final major celebration. However, there has been no official confirmation that the platform is coming to an end.
