Veteran musician Mesach Semakula has revealed that tickets for his upcoming 50-year music celebration concert were manufactured in Hong Kong to prevent counterfeiting.
The concert is scheduled for November 13, 2026, at Kingdom Kampala, where Semakula plans to celebrate five decades in the music industry.
Speaking about the preparations, the singer said the tickets had arrived in Uganda over the weekend and would go on sale on Monday at Papaz Spot and other designated locations.
“The tickets were made in Hong Kong but have already reached the country and will be going on sale starting this Monday. They will be at Papaz Spot and other locations. We chose to make them from there in a bid to combat forgeries; we don’t want to have such instances,” Semakula said.
The decision to manufacture the tickets abroad is intended to reduce the risk of counterfeit tickets circulating ahead of the concert.
Semakula has also revealed that fellow musician Joseph Mayanja, popularly known as Chameleone, will serve as the show’s lead producer, overseeing the production, particularly the sound.
The concert is expected to mark a major milestone in Semakula’s career as he celebrates 50 years in music.
