Dancehall artiste King Michael has warned fellow musician Kid Fox to stop attacking other artistes and focus on rebuilding his music career following his return to Uganda after more than a decade in Japan.

Kid Fox, who spent years abroad after stepping away from the local music scene, has recently been seeking to reclaim his position and influence in the industry. However, his approach has involved criticising fellow musicians, something King Michael believes will not sustain public interest in the long run.

According to King Michael, Kid Fox may be using controversy to regain public attention, but he needs to back it up with good music if he hopes to reconnect with fans and re-establish his career.

“People have different frustrations, and everyone wants to achieve their goals in a particular way. If Kid Fox, after all the years he spent working abroad after his music retirement, returned with such rowdy tactics, it’s up to him. But that’s not an easy path. I’m not certain he will achieve his goals that way,” King Michael said.

He also urged Kid Fox to respect musicians who have remained active in the industry and those who emerged during his absence, arguing that they helped keep the music scene alive.

“He should rather be grateful and respectful to the artistes that have lasted the test of time and those others that sprung up after he left because they preserved the industry for him. That train is long gone,” he added.

King Michael further challenged Kid Fox to concentrate on producing quality music rather than engaging in disputes with fellow musicians.

“Let him concentrate on doing good music rather than attacking fellow artists. I don’t see him performing anywhere; it’s still us on those billboards,” he said.
