Self-proclaimed music doctor, Jose Chameleone, was early this week dragged to court for breach of contract.

The suit filed at the High Court in Kampala is in relation to Chameleone’s decision to boycott the Afrika Masharika Festival in Kenya late last year.

Chameleone was supposed to perform at the three shows; December 19, 20 and 21, 2014 in Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa respectively.

The amount agreed on Shs 28m which he allegedly pocketed but never showed up.

Chameleone was supposed to travel with four people to Kenya and aboard Kenya Airways but by mid night of December 19, organisers were forced to call of the show since the singer was nowhere to be seen.

Tendo Grill limited, the company that had contracted Chameleone for the three shows through their lawyers Muwema & Co. Advocates are demanding Shs 91m in damages and refund for his failure to fulfil he signed agreement.
