Musician Karole Kasita is an artist of this generation, but she was also in the industry when showbiz dominated. When there was competition among artists, Karole Kasita was working with the Goodlyf band and also performed karaoke in different bars around the city.

She now says there is a big difference between now and the past, explaining that artists no longer care about showbiz as they did before. She says even stunts and everything related to that no longer make sense, asserting that it "ended with the likes of Sheebah and Spice Diana."

"The younger generation of artists does not care at all what car I am driving. In fact, such showbiz stunts ended with Sheebah and Spice Diana; all the newer artists don’t care about showbiz anymore," she explained in an interview with a local television station.

The dancehall singer adds that, at the moment, there is musical competition, and artists are competing musically. Instead of going against one another personally, they are working on music projects that are competing in the market.

“The competition amongst artists to better themselves has died out; people now only compete musically,” she added.

Kasita believes competing musically is better than going against one another.
