Celebrated songwriter and musician Shena Skies remains one of the best in her field. She has been writing songs for various artists across the region for the past ten years and continues to do so today.

Despite her high-ranking profile among songwriters, Shena Skies has highlighted the challenges she continues to face. She explained that various artists still do not want to credit her for her work. Among the people she mentioned are Diamond Platnumz and Spice Diana.

Skies says she has written quite a number of songs for Diamond, but he has always denied her credit for the royalties. She also mentioned Spice Diana among the people who are adamant about crediting her for her work.

"Spice Diana and Diamond Platnumz are some artists who have never credited my work, despite me writing good songs for them. They have always taken the credit for writing the songs I have personally worked on. I have never received royalties off the songs I have written for any of those two artists," she explained in an interview with a local television station.

She has written songs like "WHY" by Diamond Platnumz & The Ben, "LOCO" by Rema & Chike, "Jangu Odabe" by Spice Diana, "Mukwano" by Lucky Jo & Spice Diana, and "Nkwateko" by Lydia Jazmine, among others.
