Musician Cinderella Sanyu, also known as Cindy, will be celebrating her fortieth birthday this September. She has spent almost half of those forty years in the music industry, promoting her music and performing on stages.

The singer, however, has no plans of retiring from music. Cindy explained that she will continue to reinvent herself to maintain a relationship with her fans but will not be retiring from the stage.

"I don't even think about retiring from music. I can only change with time and keep reinventing myself, but not think about retiring from music," she explained.

Like Bebe Cool, Cindy believes there is space for everyone in the music industry and that the older generation should not be pushed out. She believes new-generation artists should focus on creating good music. Everything else, she says, will come automatically, and they shouldn't be focused on pushing the older generation out.

Cindy also cautioned the new generation of artists about their online activity. She says the internet never forgets and that they should think about the future whenever they engage online.

"I see these new-generation artists wanting to engage in online discussions, but they shouldn't forget that the internet never forgets. Be mindful of whatever you do because it will come back to you even years later," she explained.

Cindy is one of the few legendary female musicians still dominating the music industry.
