Music star Eddy Kenzo has confirmed that he will not be attending this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony, despite earning a nomination.

The award-winning singer, real name Edirisa Musuuza, revealed that he has too many duties and responsibilities to handle back home, making it impossible for him to travel to the United States for the event.

Kenzo explained that his management team will represent him at the prestigious ceremony, adding that he has different teams managing his music business across the world.

“We thank God I was nominated for the Grammys. However, I have a lot I am managing at the moment. I will not be able to go for the awarding ceremony. My management will represent me there. I have different managements in every region of the world,” Kenzo said.

The Grammy Awards ceremony is scheduled to take place this February in the United States of America, bringing together top artists from across the globe.

Despite his absence, Kenzo’s nomination is still being celebrated by fans as another major milestone for Ugandan music on the international stage.
