Rapper Fik Fameica has poured cold water on hopes of his long-awaited collaboration with Nigerian superstar Wizkid, admitting the project is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
The possibility of the two artistes working together first emerged in 2017 after Wizkid performed in Kampala and reportedly expressed interest in collaborating with the Ugandan rapper.
Nearly a decade later, however, the anticipated song has yet to materialize.
'Stop Waiting for It'
Speaking in a recent interview, Fik Fameica urged fans to shift their attention to his current music instead of waiting for the elusive collaboration.
“Do not dwell on this collaboration and do not anticipate it. Just look out for what I, as an artist, am cooking because I might even bring a bigger and better collaboration than that one,” he said.

Fik Fameica also disclosed one of the major reasons the project stalled, revealing that Wizkid's management reportedly requested around $100,000 for the collaboration.
The rapper admitted that the amount was beyond his financial reach, making it difficult to move the project forward.
Although he has not completely ruled out working with Wizkid in the future, Fik Fameica made it clear that fans should not continue expecting the collaboration any time soon.
For now, the rapper says his focus is on releasing new music and exploring other opportunities that could produce even bigger collaborations in the future.
