DJ Nimrod has named the three emerging DJs he considers to be making the biggest impression on Uganda’s entertainment scene.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Nimrod singled out Coco, Shakib and the duo Mysterious True, placing Coco at the top of his personal list.
Nimrod said he was particularly impressed by Coco’s skills, revealing that her ability exceeded his expectations.
“I will rank Coco in the first position. I was surprised by her skills. Shakib is in the number two position, he really does a good job, and he can play music. Then Mysterious True, that duo is also very good,” he said.
The veteran DJ added that while several other new DJs are doing well, he believes many have largely built their sets around Amapiano music and do not match the three he mentioned.
“Others are just good at Amapiano music, they don't match those I have mentioned,” he added.
Nimrod also addressed his ongoing public exchanges with fellow deejay Zahara Totto, accusing her of repeatedly targeting him in an effort to remain relevant and maintain her influence in the entertainment industry.
