Funeral for Assistant Superintendent of Police Moses Masaba who lost his life in line of duty in Gulu after a gang attack is set for tomorrow Wednesday June 15th in Mbale District.

The Uganda police force has today released to the public a full fact file on the fallen officer.

ASP Masaba Moses has been the Regional Officer (RO) in charge of Fire and Rescue Activities for Aswa Region Headquarters at Gulu District. On the 12th June 2016 while responding to the attack on Gulu Police Station ASP Masaba Moses was shot in the chest and sustained injuries to which he succumbed on Monday 13thJune2016.

The late Masaba is a son to the late Stephen Wanyangala and Ms. Monica Wanyangala of Mbale.

At the time of his death, Asp Masaba Moses had been assigned as the standby senior officer for the day and was responding to the attack.

The Uganda Police Force will fully take charge of costs for the burial.

The body was transported to Mulago Hospital for a postmortem today ahead of  the burial slated for tomorrow at Bungokho Village, Bungokho Sub Countyin MbaleDistrict, 5km alongMbale-Tororo Road.

He is survived by a mother and five (5) siblings.

ASP Masaba will be greatly missed for the calm and composed way he carried out his Police services.

“The Police would like to assure the family of the diseased and all members of the public that suspects behind this heinous attack shall be brought to justice. Already, six suspects are being interrogated in relation to the attack.”
