Uganda National Airlines Company limited, the newly revived National carrier will tomorrow Tuesday August 27th have its inaugural flight to Nairobi Kenya.

The flight which will fly mainly government officials, members of the Uganda Airlines Board, members of the Business Community, media among other partners will depart Entebbe International Airport at 11:10am and land at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.

Before the flight, the Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi will preside over an official event at Entebbe International Airport. The event will also be attendee by the Kenyan Ambassador to Uganda who will then board the plane to Nairobi.

The Vice President will launch the flight. Upon arrival in Nairobi, there will be another ceremony with the Cabinet Secretary for Transport & Infrastructure, Republic of Kenya as Chief Guest.

Also present will be; Uganda High Commissioner to KenyaUganda High Commissioner to Kenya, MD, Kenya Civil Aviation Authority and MD, Kenya Tourism Board.

The inaugural event comes just hours before Uganda Airline launches her maiden flight slated for Wednesday August 28th. The flight will depart Kampala at 6am in the morning. 

On the same day, the airline will launch flights to Juba, which will start with a flight departing Entebbe at 9am. The airline which is offering promotional fairs for the first two months has received overwhelming support from members of the public with many social media users jumping on their posts about the maiden flight.
Uganda has not had an airline for the last 18 years after the collapse of the then, Air Uganda.
