The leading beer manufacturer in Uganda, NBL, has reportedly lost its website to Hackers.
According to the available info, the website was hijacked and the hackers are threatening to release company secrets which include beer chemical formulae.
The company board of directors are said to have called an urgent meeting in bid of solving the matter.
Meanwhile, in a statement signed by Onapito Ekomoloit, the Legal & Corporate Affairs Director at Nile Breweries, the company said:
“Nile Breweries Ltd., would like to confirm that we have seen the video circulating on our website this morning at our Head Office in Luzira, Kampala. We are taking this matter very seriously and are moving quickly to establish the details.”
“We have mobilised a response team and will provide further updates soon as the information we receive can be verified,” he further said in the statement
